Our Mission

Make-A-Wish® Turkiye; fulfills the wishes of children aged 3-18,  that are struggling with  life-threatening illness’.

Having their wish come true is an unforgettable experience for a child, especially for a sick child. For parents, they are magical moments to create special memories. Memories that last forever.

We believe that even a single wish can change lives.

How was Make-A-Wish Established?

In 1980, 7-year-old Chris living in Arizona, Phoenix, had leukemia and he had a wish.

His biggest wish was to grow up and become a police officer. His mother, several friends, and the Phoenix Police Department set to work to make this wish come true. On the day of his wish, Chris got to ride in a police car, on a police motorcycle and in a police helicopter and was awarded the police badge after passing a special test prepared specifically for him.

Two of the police officers who took part in the realization of this wish as well as Chris’ mother laid the foundation for our wish-granting foundation. Today, Make-A-Wish is the largest wish fulfillment organization in the world.

Established in 2000 in Turkey, our Make-A-Wish Association has been the Turkey representative of Make-A-Wish® International since 2009.
